How to report an infringing file

The fastest way is the “Report a copyright issue” link on any file's download page. You can also contact us directly. To help us act quickly, include:

• The link to the file you believe infringes your rights.
• Identification of the copyrighted work (what it is, and proof you own it or are authorized to act).
• Your name, email address and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized.

What happens next

• Every report is reviewed by an administrator.
• If the complaint is valid, the file is removed and the uploader receives a copyright strike.
• Accounts with repeated strikes are banned (repeat-infringer policy).
• Reports found to be invalid or abusive are dismissed.

Counter-notices

If your file was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, contact us with your details and an explanation — include the removed file's link and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the file was removed in error. We will review it.

False or abusive reports may themselves lead to account action.
